Mind & Soul

From heaven, I alighted in your den, i.e. clay abode,

That you know mind and know my kind Lord!

Heaven is my home, don’t want any earthly dome

Hearken O mind, since birth I pined.

Beating in your bosom den, every now and then;

‘Let me go back to heaven.

I say the same, since I came’.

That God know, you don’t heed though.

Oh, mind, let me rewind, lest you have forgone,

mere processing centre and mentor of five sense organ!

‘Body is heaven’s foil, made of decaying soil

Difference with soul, as mountain and mole’.

No more than clay, mind’s ground to play and mortal.

But the soul is ever enduring and eternal.

Body is mortal by birth

And will surely die in Earth.

All confuse mind with soul, drag me pole to pole,

to satisfy me, end up satisfying Mind, thee.

All do as mind dictate, none heed to what I state.

Soul is not needy like body, no expense only income.

Finally, back it will come, to its immortal kingdom.

Here only heavenly taste, barring the rest,

it’s nectar pure, unknown to mind for sure.

In earthly den, if one gets taste of heaven,

all would appear bland whatever mundane.

Earth, den of dearth, things are finite,

stock might finish any minute.

What you receive,

always feel someone deceive and will ever grieve.

Heaven, abundance den, stocks are infinite,

any time of day and night.

Life is just wait and wail for everything unsure

It’s not really known, whether there is meat on bone!

And there is none to ensure.

Alas, alone or en mass, as you leave the Earth,

all are waste what you invest, since birth.

Heaven is Lord’s den, your first abode

All are Lord’s gift, galore and on gratis mode.
